Cycling world champions Emily Nelson, Charlie Tanfield, Ethan Hayter and Kian Emadi have all been named in England’s team for the Commonwealth Games.

The quartet, , are part of the 27-rider squad who will compete on Australia's Gold Coast in April.

Two-time Olympic team sprint champion Philip Hindes is also named in the group, while double Commonwealth champions Sophie Thornhill and pilot Helen Scott will defend their para-cycling titles.

Olympic gold medallists Jason Kenny and Laura Kenny and defending Commonwealth road-race champion Lizzie Deignan have all decided not to take part.

Only five of the squad have previous Commonwealth Games experience across track cycling, para-cycling, road cycling and mountain bike disciplines.
