Laura Trott and Britain's hockey women win Sky Sports August poll

You have voted Laura Trott as August's Sportswoman of the Month and Great Britain's hockey women as your Team of the Month.

Track cyclist-Trott retained her omnium and team pursuit titles in Rio to take her Olympic gold medal tally to four.

That saw her claim a whopping 67 per cent of the public vote, as she finished ahead of flyweight boxer Nicola Adams (17 per cent) and 23-year-old taekwondo fighter Jade Jones (10 per cent), who both became double Olympic champions in Rio.

Kate Richardson-Walsh's hockey girls won Great Britain's first-ever Olympic women's hockey gold in Rio and they have been voted as your Team of the Month for August.
